GLENDALE, Ariz.—Jim Lamon, a GOP candidate for the U.S. Senate, recently told supporters gathered in a ballroom here what he thought ails the country: “We face enemies abroad,” he said. “But we’ve got enemies in the house, those far-left liberals,” referring to Democrats.
